A Comparative Study Of Humanized Services In Chinese And Foreign Libraries

The library is a kind of humanities whose essence is the human-oriented in its development.The reader is the key of the library to carry out all activities.So the library should do what the readers need and take the humanized perspective to provide them with the most perfect service.By comparing the humanized service in more developed countries in world librarianship with that in China,the paper is aimed at understanding the development of libraries under the background of different cultures and social systems comprehensively,finding similarities and differences in China and other countries,which is based on the humanized service.Moreover choosing library rules and regulations,environmental facilities,reader service,service conditions and so on which conducts deep comparisons,this paper is designed to analyze problems and shortcomings and make us recognize our own defects in the library’s humanized service in China on the basis of above analysis.According to our own situation,we should learn from advanced experience abroad,make sure future development direction in our country,and provide feasible suggestions for humanized service of Libraries in China.Thus above will lead to promote the development of humanized service theory and practice in our country’s libraries,keeping the pace with that of libraries in advanced countries in the world as soon as possible.
