Media Research On The Dissemination Of Manchu Language And Its Protection And Rescue Work

Manchu,a minority with a long history in northern China,which made a great contribution to the final definition of China's territory and the unity of Chinese nations.Manchu used to have their native languages and scripts.However,as a result of the deep communication between Manchu and Han,the powerful influence of Han culture,the immigration of Han and the emigration of Man,especially 1911 put an end to the rule of the Manchu,the once national language fell into the situation which merely hundreds of men can speak today.At the present time,Manchu language was already in the endangered state.From central government to local governments,as well as relevant departments and experts and scholars,for endangered full language has been carried out to protect and rescue Manchu language work since the founding of China.Therefore,not only at the early stage of our nation's founding,even though in the new century,the protection and rescue work of Manchu language still gets more attentions and supports as country's and local's cultural development.As a vital project of nation's culture,the protection and rescue work of Manchu language needs media's communication to broadcast the value and the meaning of its protection,to expand its influence,and to create an atmosphere of protection and rescue on the Manchu language.This article aims at classifying the type of media,using the methods of literature research and content analysis to analyze the current situation of our mass media's reports upon the protection work of Manchu language,using the analyses that the mass media,the academic media and the social media have reported to conclude the similarities and the differences between the three different kinds of media platforms,and presenting the functions of spreading Manchu languages and scripts as well as its protection and rescue work from different media,such as creating the atmosphere of protection and rescue,arousing government's attention to the protection and rescue work on Manchu language,and promoting the popularization and application of the Manchu language.Furthermore,in terms of the Manchu language's protection work among all kinds of platforms,it will find the problems and the crux of the matter,then point out that China still has problems such as the sterility of content,the lack of quantity,the deficiency of external communication and the flaws in the database index.Finally according to these problems,it can offer optimized strategies as well as proposals and then discuss from seven perspectives as following: enhancing and quickening communication on TV,enlarging the using range of the language,cultivating the professional talents,integration the social media on communicating Manchu language,using the celebrity effect,correcting the mistakes from film and TV works and so on.
