With the continuously development of network and multimedia communicationtechnology, IP network carries more and more traditional telecommunication network and TVonline business, especially the development pace of Multi party call based on IP network isextremely surprising. Multi party call technology has been widely used in many fields andindustries, which has greatly improved the efficiency of people’s work. Therefore, multi partycall technology is used to solve the problem of real-time voice communication among theaccident scene, underground base and ground command center in mine rescue communicationsystem, on which improve the level of rescue is imperative. According to the traditional multiparty call solution can not meet the requirements of the special underground environment inthe mine rescue communication process, a design of multi party call software based on Voiceover Internet Protocol (VoIP) is proposed in this paper.This topic comes from a research and development task in the sci-tech type SMEtechnological Innovation Fund of Ministry of Science and Technology (08C26226111557),the design and development of multi party call software in the rescue communication system.Among them, the S3C6410microprocessor and WinCE6.0embedded operating system isused as hardware and software development platform of multi party call software. On thebasis of the key technologies research in multi party call, according to the actual needs anddesign objectives of multi party call in the rescue communication system, and the VS2005IDE is used to realize the voice communication function in multi party call. Voice quality isimproved through echo cancellation technology in multi party call, the system bandwidthresources occupancy is reduced by voice activity detection and speech codec technology inthe voice transmission, implementation of the multiple concurrent calls with audio mixingtechnology, which greatly facilitate the exchanges between the various parties on multi party call.The corresponding test program is proposed, the test environment is set up, and thefunctionality and performance is tested of the multi party call software after the completion ofits development. The test results show that this software can achieve multi party call function,also can provide a good voice call quality, meanwhile, it is proved that the feasibility of itsapplication to the mine rescue communication system, and has widely applicability.
