Computer color matching solves a lot of problems in the traditional manual color matching, such as time-consuming, hardworking and poor reproduction. But the computing speed and precision need to be improved still because of its late start. The factor rotation technology in factor analysis method makes explanation effect better. And reliability analysis makes the model's persuasiveness stronger because it describes the degree of reliability using Cronbach's alpha. So as for the problems above, sample data are analyzed using reliability analysis and factor analysis method in order to predict the possible mathematical model. So the model can be established and solved using the curve estimation or linear regression depending on the number of independent variable. At last, the errors of tristimulus values and the concentrations of the three dyes will be calculated, which can further verify the model's precision. At first, the research background, development process are given, and the contents and innovation points are proposed based on the present situation of computer color matching. Secondly, the basic theory for color matching is introduced from the perspective of colorimetry, such as the three elements of color, the color space, color mixing and the color aberration. And we introduce the Kubelka-Munk theory, which is the basic theory in computer color matching technology. Thirdly, we describe the mathematical models which we used in our paper, including factor analysis, reliability analysis, regression analysis and Newton's iteration method standing on the mathematical point of view. The main part of the paper discusses the relationships between CMY and d1,d2,d3. The reliability analysis method and curve estimation in regression analysis are used when the three dyes have the same concentration, while the model is established and solved using the method of factor analysis and regression analysis in the case of different concentrations among the three dyes. Finally, we give the summary of the paper and discussion on deficiencies which will be improved afterwards.
