Textile dyeing is the key industries for enhancing the added value of textile product.It is also the integrated embodiment of the textile industry's technological development.Color matching is a very important procedure in textile dyeing industry.Because of being affected by human's psychology and physiology,the traditional way of color matching in dyeing is not only time-consuming,but also inaccurate.It has been unable to meet the modem textile industry.With the development of computer technology and the color theory,it's possible to use computer for color matching.Computer color matching overcomes many defects of the traditional way in the process.Within the chromatic aberration limits,computer color matching system can select the formula of fine quality and low price from formula database accurately and quickly,dispensing with several complex experiments of the traditional way.Getting inspiration from the traditional computer color matching theory:Kubelka-Munk theory,an algorithm for color matching is proposed based on dyeing capability hypothesis in this paper.(1) The color matching law of dyes which are belonged to different color systems is analyzed and studied.(2) The mathematical model based on dyeing capability hypothesis is established using mathematical modeling,numerical analysis,optimization and other relevant mathematical tools.The color matching algorithm for textile dyeing based on dyeing capability hypothesis is proposed and verified with MATLAB.The algorithm for textile dyeing establishes the logical relationship of color matching data, realizes the mapping relationship between the color information and the formula and provides the new ways for computer color matching.It has the important fundamental research and practical application value.
