Improving educational technology by using modern communications technology has become one of the hottest research focuses in the field of education. In order to change the traditional classroom teaching model, improve teaching quality and optimize class teaching content, an interactive instructional evaluating system based on the Android platform has been designed in this thesis. Wireless communication technology has been used to obtain classroom teaching feedback and promote the interaction between the teachers and the students, which is a realization of the concept of "technology service in teaching".The wireless instructional evaluating system contains several parts including an Android software, a PC software, a database for score management and so on. The Android software is composed of four modules:knowledge preview before class, classroom response, homework after class and grade inquiry. The PC software includes four modules:administrator login, classroom response, after-school scores assessment and database applications. The classroom response module requires communication with the Android software by wireless. The characteristics of various communication technologies is analyzed in this thesis, and real-time feedback of learning situation in class and before or after school, scores management and so on are realized. With the help of this system, students can learn knowledge in any place to increase study time, and participate in classroom study actively to improve efficiency. Teachers can also learn from the situation of students' study to adjust teaching mode in time.First of all, the development and current status of the evaluating system have been studied, and then the overall solution of the wireless instructional evaluating system is established. After that, the characteristics and implementation of various communication technologies are analyzed. Then, an Android software and a PC software are designed. Finally, an analysis and test for the system are made. Emphasis and innovations of this thesis are as follows:1) Realization of a many-to-one socket wireless communication and solution of communicating collision by multithreading.2) Development of Android software to have functions of attendance recording, classroom response, after-school study and scores inquiry.3) Design of PC software to obtain real-time feedback of learning situation, assessment and management.4) Development of mobile web pages to download curriculum documents by the Android software.5) Create of a performance management database to achieve data searching and sharing.The system is stable and reliable after designing and testing. The designing software basically achieves the desired functions, and has good feasibility and practicality.
