With the development of wireless communication network, wireless communica-tion network reliability research is in constant evolution in concept and scope. Thismakes the concept of wireless communication network reliability to be perfected andstandardized. Not only the design method and network structure need to be studied, butalso all aspects of the influence of wireless communication network operation reliabil-ity. That is to carry out comprehensive study of the wireless communication networkreliability. On one hand, to carry out study rely on the pragmatic approach of soundmanagement and rational use of statistical techniques; on the other hand to carry outqualitative and quantitative research use the quantization factor and mathematicalmodel analysis. With the popularization of network and communication, the user’sdemand for communication network is continuous improving. In order to better meetthe needs of users, the starting point of wireless communication network reliability re-search is tranfered to users. The study scope is evoluted to the quality of the businessprocess. Software reliability, personnel reliability and environment reliability have be-come new research focuses. At the same time, the perfection of wireless communica-tion network reliability management system brings the continuous extension and im-provement of wireless communication network reliability research.The main work contains: First, the state of art of wireless communication networkreliability evaluation research is analysed; Second, aiming at2kinds of typical wire-less communication network (mobile Ad Hoc network and the characteristics of wire-less Mesh network), two kinds of reliability evaluation methods are put forward re-spectively. Considering node mobility caused by dynamic link and network componentfailure factors, a kind of mobile Ad Hoc network2-terminal reliability evaluation me-thod and quantitative expression are put forward; also, a reliability evaluation methodfor wireless Mesh network based on multi-path routing is put forward. Thirdly, cor-responding reliability models and evaluation algorithms are designed and implementedunder two different kinds of wireless communication network environment, which can calculate the importance and reliability of the whole network. Fourth, a wireless com-munication network reliability evaluation software prototype system is designed andimplemented.The research results can provide technical support for network security. Visual re-liability evaluation software can be used for network management system and can pro-vide visual, dynamic network reliability display. It has important guiding significancefor repairing network structure in time, enhancing the network node performance anddeploying network nodes reasonably.
