With the rapid development of the Internet and its application systems, IP network becomes infrastructure of human society. A lot of problems about IPv4, such as IPV4 address depletion,expansion of the routing table, security vulnerabilities and so on, promote domestic backbone network to upgrade to IPV6. And campus network also has shifted from the IPV4 network to IPV6 network. Internet service of IPV6 provide diversification and complexity, making the campus network traffic show rapid growth. Campus Network Traffic Measurement and Management System(CNTMMS) based on IPV6 has an important practical significance to network traffic monitoring and performance evaluation.This paper summarizes of technical characteristics and the theory of network traffic measurement about IPV6 network and detailed analysis of flow measurement and management system framework of IPv6 campus network and shows a functional implementation module of data collection module, network protocol analysis module, data storage module, data display module. Build hardware environment about IPv6 network traffic measurement and traffic analysis system with Net Flow9 technology and record the source data about the network traffic on traffic monitoring service platform to store traffic data with database technology. JSP programming technology finishes data management functions, like traffic statistics, analysis and query. JFree Chart plug-in programming technology achieves graphical detection about the IPv6 network traffic. The main work is done as follows:1. The design of IPV6 network traffic collection system based on NetFlow9. Detailed analysis of theoretical knowledge concerning flow measurement and common network traffic data collection methods, and collection techniques of different Net Flow versions are analyzed and compared. Build traffic statistics experiment platform based on Net Flow9 to finish IPV6 network traffic detection, collection, and reporting functions.2. The design of IPV6 traffic analysis and management system based on JSP. Combining with the characteristics of the campus network, the paper builds IPV6 test environment,combines network traffic distribution based on Net Flow9 with network topology, and then uses the queue thinking, UDP network programming technology, Net Flow9 technology to code and implement services platform of IPV6 traffic collection and management. The modules, data interface of the platform system are described. The system can collect campus network traffics and aggregate storage flexibly, use SQL SERVER 2005 database to finish data storage and query,update data real-timely, use JSP to achieve interface presentation, use JDBC-ODBC bridge tointeract with SQL SERVER 2005 database and JFree Chart widget programming to display flow charts. JSP can show the resulting image to view network traffic trends for administrators easily.The system can identify the Net Flow traffic types, display the traffic on the topology and view and analyze network behavior, law of network, monitor network traffic trends real-time dynamically to make network performance optimization conveniently.
