With the rapid development of information technology, the micro-blogging platform has become an emerging media platform, its characteristics such as unique information dissemination mechanism and portability, real-time attracted hundreds of millions of users. All kinds of news, the public opinion, hot and comments are spread quickly, therefore, in this background, the development of a system which can find hot topics in the micro-blogging platform is imperative. This system can help users access to the most popular topic at present and display the current of public opinion information convenient, for the public and commercial institutions, government departments, public opinion hotspot analysis provides a good foundation. Based on the above background, this thesis will work from four aspects.(1) This paper illustrates the research background and practical significance of the hot topic detection,then according to target of the system to be designed, this paper analyzed the system functional requirements and non-functional requirements, finally determine the component module of the system which include information collection, data processing, topic detection and hot spot detection.(2) According to the influence factors of micro-blog become hot topics, metrics into energy as its authority to get hot topic by sorting. First of all, according to the basic information of the user, the user can be divided into four grades, combining users active computing power at the same time; Second, make a comparison between the the system user selected time and the release time of the micro-blog then compute the time energy using time distance functions. Finally, by the combination the energy of users and time, the number of forwarding micro-blog and comments obtain the total energy under this topic.(3) According to the actual needs of system analysis, design and develop the micro-blog hot discovery system based on energy sorting model. On the overall architecture of the system, the system adopts B/S mode of development which is convenient for development as well as the daily system maintenance; At the system level, the system adopts the presentation layer, business logic layer and data access layer of the architecture of the system; On the development environment, this system uses the SQL Server 2008, Visual studio 2010 as a development environment, using c# as a development language; On the system function, this system includes four function module,they are the information collection, data processing, testing and hot found.(4) In this paper, the system based on energy sort of micro-blog hot discovery realized the collection of user information in the micro-blog platform and micro-blog information, to cut the word information collected data pretreatment, based on the clustering of micro-blog content, form the micro-blog topic, then calculate each micro-blog topic energy, after sorting, the top topics will be shown on the system interface. After the system test, micro-blog hot discovery system based on energy sorting operation runs well and can be put into practical application.
