Since the three Confucius Institute were founded oneafter another in the Philippines,mandarin started to come into mainstream schools.And in 2011 the Department of Education in the Philippines add mandarin subject into the national basic education system,this milestone event let more filipino students to know the Chinese language,greatly enhance the development of the Chinese language education in public schools.Now the main force of public schools mandarin teaching is the local mandarin teachers,they are the reliable guarantee of the development in mandarin studying in the mainstream schools in the Philippines.So the local mandarin teachers' present situation and existing problems of mandarin teaching is not only to help them improve their professional quality and teaching level,but also the requirement of the vigorous development of mandarin teaching in mainstream schools.This article will set the examples of the three public schools which have mandarin subject in Nueva Ecija Province in the Philippines,and to study the local mandarin teachers of mandarin teaching status and existing problems,and gives the corresponding cultivation strategies and suggestions for the improvement of the teaching level.This first chapter of this article is the research significance,and related literature review,research methods and ideas.The second chapter introduces mandarin teaching situation in the three schools,from the class situation in mandarin class,teaching conditions,and the Filipino teachers and Chinese teachers cooperation mode these three aspects,investigate and analyse the current situation of mandarin teaching.The third chapter from the basic information,teaching skills,teaching evaluation,and training information of the local teachers,study the current mandarin teaching situation among the three public schools,and lays the foundation for analyzing the problems existing in the next chapter.The fourth chapter mainly from the local teachers' professional quality and the teaching two aspects analyzes their existing problems,and explore its causes.First,in the professional quality,the teachers are week in mandarin ontology knowledge,do not know well about the contemporary China's basic national conditions and not familiar with Chinese culture.Secondly,in the process of teaching also exists some problems like excessive use of translation teaching method and native language,do not take the Chinese character writing,and not good at using the modern multimedia.Finally from two aspects like the teachers themselves and education environment,to analyse the reason of these problems.Teachers' individual reasons mainly include the lack of language learning environment and the shortage of teaching enthusiasm.The education environment aspect mainly include teachers' training is incomplete,the lack of professional development community support,and the local teachers oriented policy system is incomplete.The fifth chapter put forward some suggestions about the local teachers' training and their teaching skills.Firstly analyzed the importance of local mandarin teacher training,then from the training content and form put forward some suggestions like strengthen learning Chinese culture and national conditions,set up mandarin teaching methods courses,strictly implement the immersive learning when training in China and set network training platform.Finally put forward some suggestions in teaching process such as using as far as possible from the teaching intuitive means instead of native language translation,make class activities and games to improve students' interest and optimize the curriculum,increasing culture class.The sixth chapter conclusion part summarizes the innovation of this article and its insufficient.
