The selection of foreign works into high school Chinese books is the requirement of the new curriculum standard for the basic quality of modern high school students.However,for many years,such important foreign works had been neglected in high school Chinese classes.With the frequent exchanges between countries,the western literature,art and teaching theory spread affect further in China,coupled with the promotion of the new curriculum and enrich the examination content,experts and high school Chinese teachers have gradually recognized the importance of foreign works,and to carry out a more comprehensive study,which laid a theoretical basis for this paper.At the same time,the author through the investigation and analysis found that teaching foreign works really be taken attention by the students and Chinese teachers than in the past,which is beneficial to the development of student personalities.However,due to the limited foreign work knowledge of students and teachers,there are some limitations in the selection of foreign works in books.These factors affect the effective teaching of foreign works.There are inherent patterns in teaching foreign works by teachers,and the academic performance and enthusiasm of students' foreign work studying have not improved or changed obviously.Therefore,while absorbing the research theory and wisdom of the predecessors,through the investigation and analysis of the current situation of foreign work teaching,combined with the practice of multi-angle interpretation of these texts and the design of reading teaching,the author carried out further research and discussion for foreign work reading teaching,that in order to make good use of the "grasp"--reading teaching of foreign works,to improve the students' humanistic quality.It should be improved from three areas as students,teaching materials and teachers.Students should be correct attitude towards foreign works,change the way of learning,make full use of the time of reading teaching in class,study and accumulate the interpretation of foreign works,focus on reflection,summary and migration training after class;For teaching materials,the essay should be more diversified on the basis of the link with the college entrance examination.Teachers should attach importance to learning the knowledge of foreign literature,strengthen the foreign works' educational research,fully understand the situation and improve themselves from the " can teach" and ”teaching well” two levels,optimize teaching strategies,arouse the interest of students to read foreign works,enhance the cultural literacy.It is hoped that through the study,it will be able to provide more operable and optimized strategies for foreign work reading teaching to first-line Chinese teachers.
