| As the age of information has come,it has not only brought a great impact to our daily life,but also attached tremendous changes on education field.“Flipped classroom” as a new teaching model has been not only served as a research hot point among scholars at home and abroad,but implemented in different kinds of education fields at the same time.It is obvious that “flipped classroom” owns a lot of advantages and addresses several issues within primary English teaching in a sort of way.However,during the process of implementing micro video flipped classroom,some problems have raised.For example,watching the video is a single-line learning method which lacks of interactions,so that it is of great difficult to motivate students’ study enthusiasm,teachers still cannot grasp the actual study status at the same time.In my view,the teaching model of micro video flipped classroom is not very suitable to students in junior class.As we all know,games have become an integral part in students’ daily life while educational game model has also attracted attention to scholars at home and abroad,besides it has accumulated some successful implementation cases in education sector.Combining gamification learning resources with the flipped classroom teaching model brings a new idea for flipped classroom to make it more suitable to junior students’ English classroom in ways that motivate students’ interests and raise their learning outcomes.The study chooses the students of LS middle school in Shanghai as the research object,through interviews with the school mathematics teachers and students to analyze the status of primary English teaching and micro video flipped classroom,summarized the questions at the same time.Based on that,it explored the gamification design of teaching model in flipped classroom and implemented it in teaching classroom to test its effectiveness.Through academic performance analysis,classroom follow-up observation,satisfaction survey questionnaire as well as interview approach,comparing the teaching difference between micro video flipped classroom and gamification flipped classroom,the result shows that gamification flipped classroom presented a more dramatic effect on several aspects such as motivating students’ learning interest and increasing their learning ability in listening,speaking,reading and writing.This study is divided into 5 parts:The first chapter explained the research background,research significance,research content and research approach,and then offered a basic conception upon flipped classroom and gamification learning in ways that reviewed the status of the both sides on that basis.The second chapter focused on analyzing the existing problem of English teaching in primary schools and on an interview basis,analyzed the status of English flipped classroom in primary school and then summarized the problem within it.The third chapter mainly explored the teaching design of gamification flipped classroom.It made an analysis on several aspects including theory foundation,principles of gamification learning resources design and teaching model design sectors of gamification flipped classroom.The forth chapter based on gamification learning resources design and development as well as teaching model design of gamification flipped classroom,implemented gamification flipped classroom teaching model within experimental classroom,then compared with contrast group,namely the class with micro video flipped classroom,to verify the effect of gamification flipped classroom.The fifth chapter laid about the summary and outlook of this study,of which explained the task,outcomes,innovative points and shortcomings under such study and pointed out the study direction in this field in the future. |
