With the continuous renewal of the information technology and teaching concept,as well as the deepening of English curriculum reform in primary schools,classroom teaching model is closely linked with the network multimedia.Therefore,the Flipped Classroom Model emerged as a new teaching model that adapts to the development of network society.The Flipped Classroom Model is a new teaching model that,under information environment,teachers provide students with learning resources which takes the teaching videos as main form.And students finish the learning of teaching videos and other learning resources before class.Then,teachers and students conduct a series of activities together in class,including homework answering,collaborative inquiry,and interactive communication.Therefore,the theoretical foundation of this research consists of constructivist theory,mastery learning theory and cooperative theory.And the author designs a student-centered and personalized classroom model,in which students learn independently by watching videos before class,while teachers and students complete a cooperative learning in class in primary school.Furthermore,through the measurement and observation of the students’ learning attitude and their enthusiasm in class and other dimensions to test: Is the Flipped Classroom Model better than the traditional teaching method in primary school English teaching? Can the students’ learning attitude be improved and their learning interest be aroused by the application of the Flipped Classroom Model in class?The experiment was carried out in Jiefang primary school of Zhongshan District in Dalian,and it was conducted from September to December.The subjects are 90 students coming from two classes in Grade six.One class is experimental class which adopted the Flipped Classroom Model in English teaching,while the other still adopted the traditional teaching model.Before the experiment,the English language ability of the students in the two classes were no significant difference.With the help of two tests,and interviews,the author use the software SPSS to collect and analysis the data.The result of the experiment shows that the Flipped Classroom Model has advantage over the traditional teaching method,and the students hold a positive attitude towards the new teaching approach.Through the experiment of implementing the Flipped Classroom Model,the thesis provides a reference for the further research and design of the Flipped Classroom teaching model in primary school English teaching.
