The Use Of Game Teaching Methods In Primary Chinese Teaching In Thailand

Nowaday,as the trade and cultural exchanges between China and Thailand have become increasingly frequent,the number of Chinese teachers and volunteers in Thailand also has been steping up day by day.Due to the differences between Chinese and Thai educational models and the characteristics of students,Chinese traditional teaching method don't adapt to Thai class.To better Chinese teaching in Thailand,more and more teachers of Teaching Chinese as Second Language focus on changing teaching method.In recent years,teaching community of TCSL tends to using diverse games to improving students' interest in learning and increasing fun in classrooms.Base on my experience,using games can promote students' learning motivation,improves the level of Chinese students and teaching effect effectively.Games seems simple but improve the teaching efficiency greatly,especially for Chinese tyro.It helps a lot in review parts.That's means game is a method which Chinese teacher could not ignore.In basic stage of Teaching Chinese as Second Language,cultivate students' positive interest in learning is the most important,or they are likely give up later.Though many Thai cities have Chinese classes,there are still no good environment in Chinese learning,such as Songkhla which I have been lived.To stimulate and improve students' learning motivation,I used a wealth of games in classroom teaching,got some achievement and good results.Guiding by the theory of linguistics,pedagogy and educational psychology and Zhou Jian's "Chinese Classroom Teaching Skills 325",looking up relevant reference,make a discusion of game using in the Chinese classroom from its theoretical,feasibility,relevance,practical.Studying in the students in Songkhla Vocational College,this paper discuss the design and implementation of game teaching method in Thai primary Chinese teaching classes from Chinese Phone,Vocabulary,Grammar Paragraph Express and Culture.Analysising its significance and shortcomings.And exploring the effect through the questionnaire and communication after classes.
