A Comparative Study On The Learning Quality Of Children In Different Institutions

At present,there are three problems in the learning quality.First of all,people’s evaluation of learning quality is not accurate.Second,awareness of its importance is not enough.What’s more,the factors that affect the quality of learning are not clear.In order to explore relationships between the learning quality and some factors such as the infant’s grade,the age and the kindergarten’s system.The author drew two classes from 6 kindergartens and one primary school in Guangzhou,with 839 children as the research objects.Making use of the "Children’s Learning Quality and Teachers’ Evaluation Questionnaire" 、 "Children’s Learning Quality and Parents’ Evaluation Scale" as research tools.In the study,learning quality is divided into these 5areas-----adherence and attention,initiative,creativity and invention,reflection and interpretation,curiosity and interest.Also,variance analysis and independent sample T test were used for comparative study of infants’ learning quality.The study found,(1)In kindergarten’s system,in addition to the aspect which means"creativity and invention”has difference,the other 4 aspects(adherence and attention,initiative,reflection and interpretation,curiosity and interest)in public kindergartens and private kindergartens are not obvious.There were no significant differences before and after school in learning quality of children who attended public kindergartens,but in the private kindergartens,children’s learning quality decreased seriously.(2)In kindergarten’s level,generally,the higher,the better.Such as children of provincial kindergartens show better in 2 aspects(adherence and attention,creativity and invention)than children of municipal kindergartens.Children of provincial kindergartens do better in 3 aspects(creativity and invention,reflection and interpretation,curiosity and interest)than children of regional kindergartens.As well,children of municipal kindergartens perform better in 2 aspects(reflection and interpretation,curiosity and interest)than children of regional kindergartens.(3)About age,learning quality of children who are 5-6 years old in top class of kindergartens are much higher than infants of middle classes and primary schools students,while first grade students aged between 6 and 7 perform worst in adherence and attention,and third grade students aged between 9 and 10 with very poor initiative.This study puts forward several Suggestions.The first point is We will strengthen government support for different institutions and kindergartens;The second point is especially for the funds and policies of the private parks;The quality of learning can be incorporated into the education quality assessment in the kindergarten grade assessment;In particular,In the link between kindergarten and elementary school,we should pay attention to the continuous development of the students’ learning quality.
