Geography extracurricular practical activities as an important quality education content.Extracurricular activities teaching of Geography in cultivating the students’ learning interest and comprehensive practical ability has a important significance. However,due to China’s basic education facilities and educational philosophy in the teaching process deviation, the junior high school geography extracurricular practice teaching development can’t really put into teaching practice to, in the junior middle school stage not fundamental guarantee.n this paper, the status and problems of the junior high school geography extracurricular practice activities, to seek solutions to the relevant countermeasures. The paper mainly has four aspects.(1) from the realistic meaning of the research background of junior high school geography extracurricular practice activities of teaching and research, research significance were analyzed. A lot of collection and collation of the domestic and foreign about the course the practice of the theory of information, establish a basis for the selection of topics.(2)associate the overview and junior high school geography extracurricular practice teaching of education theory, deals with the geography extracurricular practice teaching related concepts, according to the characteristics of geographical extracurricular practice activities and to Human teaches the version for example to the junior middle school stage can carry out geographical extracurricular activities are classified in detail.(3)to recover the questionnaire analysis. Questionnaire in six junior middle schools in Weifang City, Shandong Province as the research object, the main use of questionnaires and interviews with law, to survey data for statistical analysis, to obtain the status of the implementation of the Shandong Province Weifang City junior high school geography extracurricular practice teaching, the causes of these problems were analyzed and discussed in detail, and puts forward the future implementation of the extracurricular activities in geography teaching.(4)this paper discusses the development of the geography extracurricular activities should follow the corresponding teaching principles, and according to the characteristics of the junior middle school students and the school conditions, the practical activities are designed to provide the reference for the majority of teachers.However, due to the investigation of the scope of the limited, just confined to 6 junior high school in Weifang City, the results are difficult to be difficult; the limitations of their own teaching practice and lack of experience, the design of the case may not be reasonable enough to be improved.
