Phonological awareness is the awareness and the ability to manipulate the spoken word speech units.Research shows that it has an important influence on the development of word recognition,reading skills and emergent literacy and other language skills on children.Currently,most studies of phonological awareness focused on it’s correlation with other language skills,relatively few studies of phonological awareness about it’s own development characteristics,there is a lack of debate about early research on preschoolers’ development of phonological awareness of Chinese characteristics of the child.This study was based on previous studies focused on the exploration of 4-6 years old Chinese children phonological awareness development of age characteristics,gender differences and voice development units of the order.This study selected 974-6 year-old children from the seven classes of N kindergarten in N city as subjects.These children from family educational background fairly(parents of college education and above),normal intelligence and no hearing impairment,mother tongue is Mandarin Chinese,had no formal system of phonetic learning.In the reference for research tools related to phonological awareness at home and abroad on the basis of,self designed suitable for children aged 4-6 phonological awareness survey questionnaire,examine four aspects such as development characteristics of syllable awareness,the first sound awareness,rhythm awareness and awareness of tone of Chinese children phonological awareness level on discrimination;Using relevant statistical software for Chinese children phonological awareness scores statistical analysis.Concluded as follow:(1)Preschoolers’phonological awareness has grown up and no significant gender differences.4 years old children already has a sense of tone and syllable awareness,but overall weak phonological awareness,in its infancy.(2)4-6 years old children Chinese phonological awareness level improves with age, 4-5 years develops rapidly,5-6 years develops more gentle.(3)4-6 years old children Chinese phonological awareness structure has a certain sequence of development,showed tone awareness>syllable awareness>rhythm awareness>onset awareness(>indicates earlier than).For tone awareness,children identify one-syllable word tone awareness level is higher to identify the low level of awareness of double syllable word tones and present significant age differences.According to the above research conclusion, the researchers put forward the following proposals for education:(1)Promote the development of children’s phonological awareness teaching through songs;(2)Training for preschool children listening capability of discrimination;(3)Pay attention to the individual differences of children’s language development and learning.
