With continuous economy development and the growth of living standard, people begin to pay attention to their health. While it finds out in national physical health inspection that physical health status are declining obviously especially among school children. With the opening of National Teenagers Sunshine Sports, it fully proves that all social communities show great concern to the physical health status of teenagers. The main aim for implementation of break-time physical exercises is to cultivate teenagers' interest about sports, during which they can strengthen physical fitness and cultivate physical training awareness in lifetime. But the result is not satisfactory in national teenagers' physical health inspection, which causes wide research on break-time physical exercises among all social communities.This article makes research among elementary school leaders, teachers and parents in Taiyuan city on the understanding of break-time physical exercises and the implementation situation of break-time physical exercises in every elementary school by adopting literature data, interviews, questionnaires, statistics, empirical analysis and logical induction methods. Research shows:1. The awareness and attention among school leaders and the awareness of parents to break-time physical exercises restrict the implementation of break-time physical exercises among elementary schools in Taiyuan to different extents.2. The forms and content of break-time physical exercises in many schools are relatively simple, which are mainly focused on balls and athletics, greatly weaken the positivity of students in attending physical exercises. On one hand, school does not arrange different exercises for students based on their different requirements; on the other hand, there is great shortage in the quantity, quality of venues and facilities. The school venues are also not made full use. At the moment, most of Taiyuan elementary schools do not have enough sporting venues. Therefore, the venues problem is becoming one of the major factors that restrict the implementation of break-time physical exercises in Taiyuan elementary schools.3. Most of teenagers in Taiyuan can join break-time physical exercises and the positivity of lower grades in attending break-time physical exercises is higher than higher grades in terms of age. The proportion of boys is higher than girls in participating break-time physical exercise in terms of gender. Differences between age and gender can cause different sports options among boys and girls.Innovative practice at Taiyuan Bayi Elementary school proves that:1. Increase students' positivity in attending break-time physical exercises and cultivate students' interest in sports by making innovations for the content of break-time physical exercises.2. By making innovations in organization of break-time physical exercises, teachers make different activity plans based on different ages, genders and characteristics of students and make full use of the limited venue and facilities to improve the effectiveness of attending break-time physical exercises.3. Increase management and supervision force of school in break-time physical exercises and ensure break-time physical exercises more scientific and standard by making innovations in organization management system of break-time physical exercises.
