Language interaction between teachers and students in Chinese class at primary school is an inevitable question. This interaction is the major behavior in classroom. It is also the vitality of teaching. In the 1960 s, an educator named Flanders, who was from University of Minnesota, created a Flanders Interaction Analysis System that was used to record and analyze language interaction between teachers and students.This system is still widely used in the study of classroom interaction.This research applies Flanders Interaction Analysis System on the language interaction between Dou Guimei and her students. Also, their characteristics are summarized, which will bring helpful enlightenment for first-line primary teachers on how to improve classroom interactions.Introduction illuminates the current problem. The objectives, significance and methods of this research are illustrated. The current situation of research on both domestic and in-domestic language interaction between teachers and students is evaluated.Chapter one is the illustration of related concepts. It specifies research subjects and demonstrates the academic characteristics of language interaction between teachers and students in Chinese class at primary school.Chapter two shows the analysis and results. Firstly, Flanders Interaction Analysis System is explained in details, and the teacher Dou, Guimei is briefly introduced.Secondly, ten samples of lessons, specifically in typical samples, are deeply analyzed based on Flanders Interaction Analysis System,Chapter three gives the conclusion and suggestion. The first part concludes the four characters of Dou Guimei study(positive emotional environment, productive words,inspirational questions, democratic communication) based on Flanders Interaction Analysis System. The second part, which is based on individual study, proposes four advices on how to improve the behavior of language interaction.The Conclusion part mainly introspects the Flanders Interaction Analysis System,and points out the future direction of the research.
