With the wide application of information technology and promotion of education informationization, many schools promote the reform of modern teaching reform; what is the most concerned by people is to implement flipped class by means of micro-course teaching. In recent years, micro-course teaching has been applied to every course, but there are few successful cases for it. At present, there is no better conclusion about how to organically combine the micro-course teaching with the geography education to solve problems appearing in the traditional teaching of geography. Therefore, the author of this paper makes a research on the micro-course teaching of high-school geography via one-year teaching practice, questionnaire survey and data analysis, which is based on the application of information technology. Using research, the author of this paper develops series of resources for the micro-course teaching of high-school geography, explores the effective ways for the development and application of micro-course teaching of high-school geography and cultivates the students' self-directed learning abilities by using modern information technology.The paper mainly includes the following contents: research background, literature review both at home and abroad, definition and theoretical basis of related concepts, necessity and feasibility for micro-course teaching of geography as well as the implement on micro-course teaching of high-school geography and suggestions on strengthening micro-course teaching of high-school geography. Its core content is the development of micro-course teaching of high-school geography and the implementation on micro-course teaching of geography. This paper attaches much importance to illustrating how to design the micro-course teaching of geography, introduce the working process of micro-video by means of charts and words, which can provide certain help for the beginners and researchers of micro-course teaching of geography.The innovation point of this article lies in the different types of geographic micro course designs, based on micro class classification and objective evaluation of the high school geography teaching effect. High school geography teaching using micro class can enhance the attraction of geography, stimulate interest in learning, concentrate geographical knowledge essence, improve grades, exploit geographical course resources, enrich subject teaching material, Promote teachers' professional development, and improve the level of teaching. The restricting factors in high school micro class are as follows: the quantity and quality of micro classes, the ability of teachers, the concept of schools policy makers, and the regional economic development level. So countermeasures and suggestions of strengthening the teaching of high school geography micro class are put forward accordingly.Because of the lack of my possession of documents and material,and the research scope is limited to our school, this research is relatively insufficient. so my point of view is proposed to be unilateral, for reference and pretence only.With the improvement of regional economic development level and the advancement of modernization of educational information, I believe that the scope of the geography teaching and the integration of micro teaching will be more and more broad.
