The geography subject has the characteristics of comprehensiveness,large time and space span,etc.It is difficult for junior high school students to deeply understand natural geography things and phenomena with their own spatial imagination.Therefore,it is necessary to find an effective physical geography teaching method,which makes the complex spatial knowledge intuitive and simple,effectively assists the teaching of natural geography knowledge,makes it easier for students to understand knowledge and improve the effectiveness of natural geography learning.Micro-courses have the advantage of improving the effectiveness of physical geography teaching because of its short refinement,clear goals,targeted,diverse resources,dynamic presentation,vivid and interesting,and powerful reproduction.Nowadays,the whole society is pursuing lifelong education.Self-directed learning has become a crucial way of learning,and traditional learning concepts have been completely broken.Self-directed learning is an important way to build a lifelong education system and build a learning society.Therefore,in order to meet the requirements of the era and reflect the demands of a learning society,educators must apply new teaching techniques to improve students' learning ability.Therefore,combining the micro-curriculum with the junior high school geography curriculum,discussing the important role of micro-courses in geography teaching,thinking about the teaching design of geo-micro-curriculum,improving the ability of teachers to produce micro-courses and the application of micro-courses to the effective improvement of geography teaching in junior high schools is important,significance.This paper firstly analyzes the development and research status of "micro-class" at home and abroad through literature research method,and summarizes the concept of experimental micro-class and its four characteristics of intuitiveness,science,subjectivity and creativity.Secondly,to study the application effect of experimental micro-courses on geography teaching,first analyze the number of experimental operations in geography textbooks and the relationship between junior high school geography and experimental micro-courses.Through the design of micro-courses,taking the experiment of the eighth grade of the junior high school geography of the People's Education Edition as an example,the paper puts forward some feasible suggestions on how to improve the application of experimental micro-courses in geography teaching in junior high school.
