Interpretation Practice Report For Natural Gas Project In Northeast Sichuan

This paper is a report on site interpreting.Working as an interpreter in Chuandongbei Natural Gas Project(CDB for short)for three months,the writer has encountered some problems,including the treatment of long and complex sentences,numerous technical terms,various accents,radio interpreting,different culture and rough on-site environment.As for the problems,the writer has made some analysis.Meanwhile,the writer also brings out the corresponding strategies,like applying for interpreting skills,backing up relevant background knowledge,improving listening and comprehending ability,giving respect to people from different culture and trying to adapt to the environment.Besides,the writer talks about the features and standards of project interpreting,through which interpreters and customers can make comments on the quality of interpreting job.In this way can interpreters get improved and customers more enjoy the service.The text aims to provide some experience and useful interpreting methods to those who are or will be an interpreter in natural gas projects,and make contributions to the progress of interpreting program of this field as it can.This text,based on the writer's interpreting practice in CDB,is of both theoretical and practical significance.
