| The aim of the paper is to collect and analyze Guantao dialect relationship expressions-systematically, probe into the logic, semantic and pragmatic of the compound sentence which are connected by relationship expressions. Through these ways, we will make a preliminary research of the means of expression of the compound sentence in Guantao.Firstly, the general of humanity, geographic, tone of voice system and vocabulary characteristics are introduced, and the difference between southern and northern regions will be emphasized especially. Secondly, the paper sums up the research situation of and dialect. Finally, it is concluded that the research of Guantao dialect relationship expressions is well worth doing. Dialect relationship expressions are defined first, and then semantics function of relationship expressions that were discovered by Mr. Xing Fuyi are cited. Lastly, syntax function of relationship expressions is added to the chapter. All of above lay a foundation for the following sections.The main part of the thesis, uses Mr Xing Fuyi’s three subsystem mainly to divide Guantao dialect into three types, including causal compound sentence, coordinate compound sentence and transitional compound sentence. The dialect relationship expressions of causal compound sentence are studied first.It is found that causal relationship of causal sentence and deductive sentence are the most prominent among these sentences; accordingly, dependence on relationship expressions will be inferior than the other three sentences, he situation of hypothetical sentence, conditional sentence and objective sentence is the opposite.Among relationship expressions of coordinate compound sentence,It is worth that some relationship expressions carry with more Guantao dialect, for example, "catch up on... catch up on", "at first... at first". Besides, there are some relationship expressions, such as "not as good as... not as good as" which also exist in the other areas, such as Suide in Shanxi province, Wenxi in Shanxi province, Shanxian in Shandong province etc. In addition, It is quite clear that some research results of mandarin also apply to Guantao dialect. Individual coordinate compound sentence reveal adversative relation when relationship expressions are get rid of, which just confirms the idea found by Xing Fuyi that "but" can enter into the some coordinate compound sentences.Noteworthily, the relationship expressions of transitional compound sentence are less than the other compound sentence. On the one hand, transitional compound sentence only includes three Subordinate clauses. On the other hand, Guantao dialect belong to spoken language originally, leading to Parataxis is adopted frequently. Specially, some disyllabic words are used in daily life of Guantao people, and "should not see" that we can read as [pin34] is an instance.Tn the end, there is a summary to the characteristics of expression means of compound sentences in Guantao dialect. It voices that there is no difference between Guantao dialect and mandarin in type, but expression means in Guantao dialect has some bright features. Beyond that, this chapter demonstrates semantics and syntax of function relationship expressions of dialect uighur by the way of table. There is a brief description of association model on relationship expressions. Guantao county, which is basking in an economic boom, has a long history and profound cultural background. It is anticipated that this paper will enrich pronunciation and vocabulary of dialect research. Besides, this paper is the first research on Guantao dialect compound sentence.
