A Study Of The Continuous Use Of Conjunctions Of Compound Sentences

The conjunctions of compound sentences refer to the conjunctions that connect the clauses in Chinese complex sentences and mark their semantic relations,or can be regarded as phrase forms of conjunctions.This paper mainly includes five parts,making the comprehensive study of this phenomenon and paying equal attention to the description and explanation:The first chapter defines the research object and scope,summarizes the previous research literature,and expounds the research methods and corpus sources.The second chapter elaborates the concept of conjunctions in complex sentences and investigates their types.First of all,we define the concept of complex sentence conjunctions to find 327 complex sentence conjunctions.After that,according to the different characteristics of complex sentence conjunctions,the paper classifies them and investigates the types of complex sentence conjunctions from different perspectives.The main types of conjunctions in complex sentences include entity type,collocation type,inter sentence position type,complex sentence relation and its semantic role type.The third chapter,based on the type of "collocation+inter sentence position",investigates the phenomenon of conjunctions in complex sentences.Based on the classification of collocation,compound sentence conjunctions can be divided into 2 types.Based on the classification of inter sentence position,compound sentence conjunctions can be divided into 4 types.Based on these two types and the investigation of real corpus,23 types of conjunction have been found.The fourth chapter,based on the relationship between complex sentences and its semantic role,analyzes the phenomenon of conjunctions in complex sentences.There are 3 types of complex sentences,namely cross major category,cross minor category and same minor category.After the investigation of the real corpus,63 types of complex sentence relational patterns and 106 Types of semantic role patterns have been found.Furthermore,27 kinds of complex sentence relation patterns and 48 kinds of semantic role patterns have been found.Also,8 types of patterns and 17 types of semantic role patterns have been found.The fifth chapter,through the data statistics of the corpus sample and the previous comprehensive description of the phenomenon of complex sentence conjunction,we comprehensively analyzes the influencing factors and hierarchical effect of complex sentence conjunction.Firstly,different types of "collocation relationship+inter sentence position",complex sentence relationship and semantic role types of complex sentence conjunctions have different tendencies that appear in the preceding and the following items.Meanwhile,based on the statistical data of the real corpus of the corpus sample,this paper infers the ability of different types of complex sentence conjunctions that appear in the preceding and the following items.Then,according to the influence of conjunctions in complex sentences on the level of complex sentences,it can be divided into the nested conjunctions and the same level conjunctions,whose main factor is the position of conjunctions in complex sentences.Besides,we have made a concrete analysis of the influence of different types of inter sentence position on the level of complex sentences.
