Qingjian county is located in the northern part of Shaanxi Province and southern region of Yulin. Since the publication of the Language Atlas of China in 1988, Jin dialect was promoted to a larger dialectal area. Consequently, Jin dialect and the study of Jin dialect have attracted the attention of linguistic scholars at home and abroad. As a section of Jin dialect, the study of Qingjian dialect is particularly important. The first part of the paper outlines the geography and historical change in Qingjian county; The second part overviews the phonetics of Qingjian dialect which divided into consonants, vowels, tones and the relations among consonants and vowels; The third part describes a large number of dialectal words in Qingjian dialect as well as characteristics of them; Finally, the paper depicts the affixes and reduplicated forms with characteristics in Qingjian dialect.
