The Effect Of Acupuncture Of Tiaoshen Tongwei On The Efficacy And Quality Of Life Of Lumbar Protrusion

Objective:To observe and evaluate the clinical curative effect through regulating kidney and stomach meridian to the treatment of lumbar disc hemiation(LDH),and to explore whether the effect of this therapy is superior to conventional acupuncture treatment and whether this therapy is better to improve the quality of life than conventional acupuncture treatment,and provide new ideas and methods of LDH treatment.Methods:In this study,60 cases were completed,30 cases in the treatment group and 30 cases in the control group.The treatment group adopts kidney and stomach meridian regulation,namely acupuncture the acupoint on the abdomen,include Ren meridian and positive reaction point on kidney and stomach meridian,acupoint Zusanli and the Shu-stream of the diseased meridian.The control group using conventional acupuncture method,namely acupuncture Jiaji point,Dachangshu,Ashi,Huantiao,Weizhong acupoint.All patients were treated 3 times a week for four weeks.The needles,acupuncture manipulation,and the course of treatment of two groups were the same.All cases were scored by visual analogue scale(VAS),Japanese Orthopaedic Association Scores(JOA),Oswestry Disability Index questionnaire(ODI).Using Statistical software SPSS21.0 to analyze the data before and after the treatment.Results:(1)VAS and JO A score in the group with significant differences between the two groups after treatment(P<0.05),suggesting that the treatment group and the control group have significant effects on pain relief,symptom improvement and functional recovery in the treatment of LDH.(2)ODI score in the group with significant differences between the two groups after treatment(P<0.05),suggesting that both the treatment group and the control group can improve the quality of life of patients with LDH.(3)Comparing the two groups before and after treatment,in the third week and the fourth week,the VAS score in the treatment group decreased more significantly than that in the control group,with a significant difference(P<0.05).It showed that the treatment group was better than the control group in alleviating the pain degree.(4)Comparing the two groups before and after treatment,at second week,third week and four week,the JOA score in the treatment group improved more significantly than those in the control group,with a significant difference(P<0.05).It shows that the treatment group is superior to the control group in improving the symptoms and functional recovery.(5)Comparing the two groups before and after treatment,at second week,third week and four week,the ODI score in the treatment group improved more significantly than those in the control group,with a significant difference(P<0.05).It shows that the treatment group is superior to the control group in improving the quality of life.(6)By comparing the total effective rate,in the treatment group,4 cases were cured,17 cases were markedly effective,9 cases were effective,0 cases were ineffective,the recovery rate was 70%.While,in the control group,2 cases were cured,10 cases were markedly effective,18 cases were effective,0 cases were ineffective,the recovery rate was 40%,and the total efficacy of two group was 100%.There exists statistical difference between the two groups(P<0.05)about curative effect,indicating the curative effect of LDH in the treatment group is better than conventional acupuncture.Conclusion:(1)The patients with LDH have achieved remarkable curative effect by using the method of regulating kidney and stomach meridian and the conventional acupuncture,indicating that both two kinds of treatment methods are effective for the treatment of patients with LDH.(2)After three weeks of treatment,the degree of pain relief in the method of regulating kidney and stomach meridian was obviously better than that of the conventional acupuncture treatment.(3)At the second week,the third week and the fourth week of treatment,the method of regulating kidney and stomach meridian was better than the conventional acupuncture treatment to improve the function of the lumbar spine.(4)At the second week,the third week and the fourth week of treatment,the method of regulating kidney and stomach meridian was better than the conventional acupuncture treatment to improve the quality of life.(5)the effect of regulating kidney and stomach meridian to treat LDH is superior to conventional acupuncture treatment.
