| Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture treatment of lumbar disc herniation( LDH) by needling “ Huan Xia ” point with conventional acupuncture. Comparing with the conventional acupuncture above mentioned aspects to providing a more efficient, simple and fast method for the treatment of lumbar disc herniation.Methods: 62 patients of LDH were observed who mathed the inclusion criteriathe. All the patients were divided into treatment group andobservation group by using Doll's clinical case random table with 1:1 radio, 31 cases in each group, Among of cach group 1 case had fallen, so each group had 30 cases. Apart from the “Huan Xia” point was plused in the treatment group, the rest are the same. Each case was treated once a day, rest once time after six days, seven days were a course. To observe the efficacy after two courses and compared the Visual analog scales and the Low back pain function questionnaire scales through self-control study and inter-group comparison.Conclusion: 1. Comparison of efficacy results : After two courses, patients in both groups have achieved good effect, the total effective rate is seem, but the cure rate and effective rate in treatment group was significantly higher. 2. VAS scores: After two courses, both groups' VAS score has declined, there were significant differences(P <0.05) between two groups after each course, The result shows that the treatment group can reduce the patient's pain sustained and greater. 3. JOA scores: After two courses, two groups of patients' JOA scores were greatly improved(P <0.05), prompted each group can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of lumbar disc herniation, JOA score difference comparison of the two groups show a significant difference(P <0.05)after each course, the difference between the two courses of the the treatment group were higher than the control group, suggesting that the treatment group have better efficacy in improving symptoms aspects. |
