| PurposeLumbar disc herniation(LDH)is a common disease in the Department of acupuncture and orthopedics,which is always happening to youngadults,gradually becoming younger.Except for surgical indications,conservative treatment is the main treatment for the disease,whose recurrence rate is high.Abdominal acupuncture therapy has been widely used in clinic,and it has been proved to be effective in treating many diseases,with other therapies can not replace the advantages.Acupuncture at si guan xue that can reconcile qi,blood,yin and yang,are effective for a variety of diseases.In this paper,we designed the randomized controlled trials to explore the clinical efficacy of acupuncture at Si-guan piont combined abdominal acupuncture in the treatment of LDH,and provided the clinical basis for the treatment of LDH with acupuncture at Si-guan piont combined abdominal acupuncture.Besides,we aimed to further clarify the early analgesic effect of acupuncture at Si-guan piont.MethodStrictly according to the inclusion criteria,We selecte patient from May 2016 to February 2017,in the cupuncture or outpatient clinic of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine and Guangdong Province Traditional Chinese Medical Hospital.A total of 60 patients were randomly divided into two groups:treatment group with 30 cases and control group with 30 cases.Experimental study in the treatment group received acupuncture at Si-guan piont first,then abdominal acupuncture.While the control group only received abdominal acupuncture.All the patients in two groups were hard bed rest for 2 weeks.Each treatment lasted for 30 minutes,once a day in the first 3 times,6-10 times for 1 course of treatment.Efficacy evaluation of this test is lumbar function score(low back pain score),visual analogue scale(VAS score).We conducted four times of VAS score,respectively before and after treatment,after the first time,after the third time.At the same time,we performed the JOA score at the beginning and end of the course.Data obtained was collated and set up in the Excel database.Finally,we used SPSS 22.0 to analyze the data.Result1.After the first time of the treatment,VAS scores of the two groups before and after treatment suggest significant differences(P<0.01),and VAS scores between the two groups suggest significant differences(P<0.01),but the difference between the treatment group before and after treatment was significantly higher than the control group.After 3 times of treatment,VAS scores of the two groups compared with before treatment have significant difference(P<0.01),VAS score between the two groups had significant difference(P<0.01).But there is no significant difference between the two groups before and after treatment.2.After 1 course of treatment,the JOA and VAS scores of the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.01),compared with those before treatment.3.After 1 course of treatment,the differences in VAS scores between the two groups were not statistically significant(P>0.05),and the differences in JOA scores were statistically significant(P<0.05).4.Efficacy evaluation:treatment group of 30 cases,to achieve clinical cure in 9 cases,markedly effective in 13 cases,effective in 6 cases,ineffective in 2 cases,the total clinical effective rate of 93.33%.In the control group,30 cases were clinically cured,8 cases were effective,13 cases were effective,4 cases were ineffective,the total effective rate was 86.67%.The results of the two groups were significantly different by the rank sum test(z=-2.129,P<0.05).ConclusionThe results showed that the clinical curative effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.From the experiment,we knowed that the treatment group could improve the lumbar function and alleviate the pain symptoms of LDH patients.At the same time,by analyzing the differences of VAS scores between the two groups after treatment,the acupuncture at Si-guan piont combined abdominal acupuncture method was superior to the simple abdominal acupuncture method in alleviating pain,and the effect of immediate analgesia was significant.The treatment of this study has the advantages of rapid onset,less pain in patients,easy operation and so on.It clarified the early analgesic effect of the Si-guan piont,but also further clarify the clinical efficacy of abdominal acupuncture treatment of LDH,worthy of further clinical application. |
