Meta-analysis Of The Effect Of Chinese Herbal Compound On The Efficacy And Safety Of Diabetes Complicated With Depression

Purpose:Systematic evaluation of the effect of the traditional Chinese medicine on the clinical effect of diabetes mellitus complicated with depression.Material and method:With diabetes,depression,treat,curative and clinical research as the keywords,the relevant literatures were searched from CNKI?VIP and Wanfang date,which published between January 1989 and December 2016.The clinical literatures were collected about comparing the treatment of traditional Chinese medicine with Western medical therapies for the patients with diabetes mellitus complicating depression.The studies were extracted the feature information.The literature that accorded with the inclusive criteria,using Rev Man5.3 software in meta-analysis.Results were expressed as odds ratio(OR),mean difference(MD)or standardized mean difference(SMD)with 95% confidence interval(CI).Results:1.There are 32 studies were analyzed.A total of 2501 patients,there are 1263 in the experimental group and 1238 in the control group.2.The HAMD and SDS of experimental group is better than the control group,the difference has statistical significance[HAMD,95%CI(-1.98,-0.96),P<0.00001] [SDS,95%CI(-7.11,-1.83),P<0.0001].3.The controlling of blood glucose level of experimental group is lower than the control group,the difference has statistical significance[FPG,95%CI(-0.88,-0.41),P<0.0001][ Hb A1 c,95%CI(-0.71,-0.30),P<0.00001].4.The rate of adverse reactions of experimental group is lower than the control group,the difference has statistical significance[95%CI(0.20,0.44),P<0.00001].5.The rate of effective of experimental group is higher than the control group,the difference has statistical significance[95%CI(2.09,3.4),P<0.00001].6.The TCM syndrome score[95%CI(-6.91,-4.67),P<0.00001]? TCM symptom improvementthan[depression,95%CI(-0.24,0.00),P=0.04],[weak,95%CI(-1.15,-0.62),P<0.00001],[thirsty,95%CI(-0.92,-0.51),P<0.00001],[chest and hypochondrium,95%CI(-1.37,-0.57),P<0.00001],[insomnia,95%CI(-1.35,-0.97),P<0.00001],[palpitation,95%CI(-0.80,-0.29),P<0.0001]of experimental group are better than the control group,the difference has statistical significance.Conclusion:The effect of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of diabetes mellitus complicated with depression is better than that of western medicine alone.
