Purpose: To study the risk factors of death in patients with colorectal cancer, the direct cause of death and the treatment of traditional Chinese Medicine?Material and method : Forty-five patients with colorectal cancer who died from the Department of Oncology in Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in January 2014 and 2016 were selected for gender, age, history of alcohol consumption,smoking history, clinical stage, (Including pleural effusion, peritoneal effusion, pelvic fluid) and the patient at the time of admission to the physical and chemical examination (hemoglobin, albumin),TCM symptom score, the use of traditional Chinese medicine, Chinese medicine to pay the number of factors such as summing up and analysis?Results:1. The overall median survival time of 45 patients with colorectal cancer was 15 months?2. Analysis of risk factors of death from colorectal cancer: clinical staging of tumor factors,smoking history, tumor metastasis, there is no effusion, hemoglobin, scores of TCM symptoms, the use of Chinese medicine , number of Chinese medicine used were the risk factors of patients with colorectal cancer deaths, P<0.05.3. Multivariate analysis of risk factors of death in patients with colorectal cancer: at the time of admission hemoglobin, clinical staging of colorectal cancer, whether tumor metastasis and TCM symptom score is the effect of node independent risk factors of death in patients with rectal cancer, P<0.05 ?4. The direct causes of death include cachexia in 11 cases (24.44%), the disease after the median survival time was 152D; intestinal obstruction (including incomplete intestinal obstruction) 12 cases (26.66%),the disease after a median survival of 64 days; 9 cases of gastrointestinal bleeding (20%), appeared the disease after the median survival time was 8 days; the other (including ion disorder, hepatic encephalopathy, infection etc.)?Conclusion:1.active intervention may have some clinical significance in the prognosis of patients with colorectal cancer.2. In the early stage of colorectal cancer patients, traditional Chinese medicine treatment mainly through traditional Chinese medicine to help the healthy, regulation of visceral Qi and Yin and yang deficiency, the main therapeutic method of invigorating the spleen, Qi and blood, etc.
