Skin Toxicology Study Of Eucalyptus Oil For The Treatment Of Acne

Objective: this research use animal experiment to find eucalyptus oil to rabbit skin acute toxicity experiment and irritant experiment and guinea pig skin hypersensitivity,explore the eucalyptus oil in the treatment of acne skin toxicology research,so that eucalyptus oil will be used better for clinical purposes.Methods: Based on new drug of TCM guide skin toxicology experiment part for experimental design,Eucalyptus oil and 75% ethanol solution configuration into three different concentrations of 80%,40%,20% eucalyptus oil ethanol solution.According to the principle of random,carried out 20%,40%,80% eucalyptus oil ethanol solution of rabbit acute toxicity experiment was and Solutions of 80%,40%ethanol eucalyptus oil line on the back of the rabbit skin irritation experiments and40% eucalyptus oil line effect on guinea pig skin allergic experiment.Results: In rabbit skin acute toxicity test,seven groups of rabbits after test,food intake did not see obvious reduction,breathing,posture,eye,and central nervous system,limbs activity,excrement characters and no obvious change,during the experiments,groups of animals did not see death,before the trial,the 7th day,14 th day after the treatment respectively record each animal body weight change,weight no significant differences between groups(P > 0.05).In rabbit irritation experiments,a drug stimulation experiments,groups of rabbit skin not seen obvious red spot,edema,no death.Multiple dosing stimulant experiment,each rabbit to 7 days in a row,80% complete skin group and 80% in damaged skin group each have three skin appears red spot,obvious one red spot,adhesion and hair,yellow,shave wool implement shaving properly,to end with warm water after cleaning,the red spot disappeared gradually,part hair falls off into pieces,the skin color is normal,no red spot,edema,skin smooth,visible normal newborn hair.40% of intact and damaged skin each have 1 only appear in the process of drug red spot,cleaning drug red spot disappeared after 24 hours.There were only 1 and 2 only hair adhesion,skin color not seen obvious abnormity,48 hours after the treatment,some adhesion hair is block off,visible normal newborn hair,skin color is normal,not seen obvious red spot,edema,the damaged skin group back on both sides of the skin wound healing is consistent.In eucalyptus oil ethanol solution in the process of guinea pig skin hypersensitivity experiment,drug and vehicle group guinea pig skin appears red spot,edema.two groups of animals does not appear asthma,difficulty in breathy,unstable,shock and other systemic allergic reaction.Inspire positive control group after contact visibility9 guinea pigs skin red spot,six of them only mild edema,not cut off the hair yellow dye,occurrence red spot of floor of 10 only after 24 hours,the original animal red spot,obviously part of the guinea pig skin empurples,hair yellow dye is aggravating,48 hours slightly faded red spot,edema,relieve.red spot receded 72 hours,positive control group in the process of experimental animals also did not see unstable,difficulty breathing,shock,such as allergies,no animal death.conclusion: 80%,40%,20% eucalyptus oil ethanol solution of rabbit,no acute toxicity test,a drug stimulation experiment,40%,80% eucalyptus oil ethanol solution of rabbit skin,several times to irritant experiment,80% ethanol solution of eucalyptus oil with mild irritation to rabbit skin,eucalyptus oil 40% ethanol solution of rabbit skin.Skin allergic experiment,eucalyptus oil to guinea pig skin hypersensitivity.Eucalyptus oil as a new drug used in clinical treatment of acne,has a good prospect of use.
