Objective: This study takes the perimenopausal syndrome patients as the reseach objects, respectively with acupuncture and electroacupuncture stimulation as a means of treatment, to evaluate curative effect of those two means on the hot flushes and related symptoms of perimenopausal syndrome; and to compare the effects of hand acupuncture stimulation and electroacupuncture stimulation on sex hormone levels in the patients with menopausal, which aims to provide some clinical evidence for the treatment of menopausal syndrome with acupuncture and moxibustion. Methods: Randomly dividing 50 cases of perimenopausal syndrome patients were into two groups: hand acupuncture group and electroacupuncture group, 1 case turnover, 49 effective, which include 27 cases of hand acupuncture and 22 cases of electroacupuncture. Both of the two groups were treated with dilatational wave, frequency of 10/50 Hz, stimulated for 30 minutes once every other day, 3 times a week for 8 weeks, a total of 24 times of treatment. The datas stared to be collected on the4 th 8th, 20 th and 32 th hot flash intrgal, the menopausal symptoms evaluation quantity form score(MRS) and menopausal quality of life scale(menqol). And on the 8th and20 th to examine the serum sex hormone levels(FSH, LH, E2), and do the statistical analysis.Result:1.Hot flashes, MRS and MENQOL evaluation: after treatment, two groups with4 weeks, 8 weeks and 20 weeks, 32 weeks of follow-up, scores of the three aspects were reduced, the difference is statistically significant(p < 0.05) which manifested that both the hand acupuncture and electroacupuncture can improve perimenopausal patients with hot flushes and related symptoms. Compare with 4 weeks treatments, the scores of 8 weeks is lower, the difference is statistically significant(p<0.05),showing that with the prolonging of the treatment cycle, the hot flushes and related symptoms were further improved. Moreover, compareing the 20 weeks and 32 weeks treatments, the difference is statistically significant(p<0.05), which inllustrate that duing the follow-up period, with the passage of time, the treatments can further improve the related symptoms in patients with hot flashes.2. Serum sex hormone levels: after the treatments, two groups in each time, the LH value decreased slightly, but the difference was not statistically significant(p>0.05); The two groups for 8 weeks and 20 weeks of follow-up, after the treatment, the FSH levels were reduced and the difference is statistically significant(p<0.05).Merely, compare the but 8 weeks treatment and the 20 weeks one, the FSH value declined, but the difference was not statistically significant(p>0.05); The two groups in the treatment of 8 weeks and 20 weeks of follow-up treatment with E2 value has increased, the difference is statistically significant(p<0.05), but the diffrernce on E2 value rising between 8 weeks treatments and 20 weeks treatments was not statistically significant(p>0.05). Two groups of treatment were not significantly affected the level of LH in patients, but the treatment of 8 weeks has been effective in patients with FSH and E2 levels, and maintained to the 20 weeks.3. The difference after the two types of treatments on the Hot flashes integral,MENQOL scale, serum FSH, LH, E2 values had no statistical significance(p>0.05),the results need to be further verified with enlarged sample.Conclusion:1. Both hand acupuncture and electroacupuncture have certain therapeutic effect on persistent perimenopausal patients Hot flashes and related symptoms, and have better long-dated curative effect.2. Hand acupuncture and electro acupuncture have a certain effect on the serum sex hormones in the patients with peri menopausal syndrome.3. Hand acupuncture and electroacupuncture stimulation had no significant difference on the efficacy of perimenopausal symptoms and sex hormone levels, due to the smaller sample size and other factors, this conclusion needs further demonstration.
