Depression, Anxiety, Syndrome Differentiation And Related Factors In Patients With Malignant Tumors

Objective:Malignant tumor is one of the most serious diseases which also affect patient's psychological status. The main purpose of this article is to understand of depression and anxiety status in patients and the factors effecting patients' psychological status. We aimed at discussing the intervention strategy to improve their mental health standard and quality of life, and to provide reference for clinical treatment.Methods:In this study, we selected 107 cases of patients with malignant tumor in outdoor patient. By giving questionnaires, we understand the patient's psychological, physiological, and general status. Analysis of depression and anxiety standard of patients with malignant tumor and the degree of pain, general situation and the correlation between symptoms and function will be done and we will try to find out the influence factors. SPSS 17.0 was used for the statistical analysis of all data. P<0.05 was considered as statistically significant.Results:(1) This study of 107 cases of malignant tumor in patients with depression and anxiety, the incidence of depression was 41.1%, and the incidence of anxiety was 36.4%.(2) The depression and anxiety standard in patients with malignant tumor have no obvious correlation with gender and age. Malignant cancer patients with depression and anxiety are related to the tumor site. Gynecological tumor and digestive system tumor have higher risk than respiratory system. The depression and anxiety standard in patients with malignant tumor have no obvious correlation with number of health care condition. But is related with economic difficulty condition. The depression and anxiety standard in patients with malignant tumor is related with level of education. Malignant cancer patients adopted two or more kinds of therapy in surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy are more likely to be depressed and anxious. The depression and anxiety standard in patients with malignant tumor is more severe in patients with moderate and severe pain.(3) The depression and anxiety standard in patients with malignant tumor is related with level of quality of life. The reducing of the Quality of life can lead to increased incidence of depression and anxiety. Malignant tumor patients' quality of life is associated with the state of malignant tumor patients with depression. There is high frequency of depression while five function score is low. Fatigues, pain, shortness of breath, insomnia, loss of appetite, constipation, these six kinds of symptoms are associated with depression. Malignant tumor patients' quality of life is associated with the anxiety state of malignant tumor patients. Four function of body, character, cognitive and emotional score are related with anxiety. The symptom of fatigue, shortness of breath, insomnia is associated with anxiety.(4) More than a half of the malignant tumor patients with depression and anxiety are of liver depression and qi stagnation syndrome.Conclusion and significance:We should pay more attention to patients with malignant tumor's psychological condition, especially the one with strong pain degree and high level of education. The research also indicates that traditional Chinese medicine has great effect to improve the patient's function and cure the symptoms, since it's so important to alleviate the degree of depression and anxiety. Assessment, early detection and timely treatment should be given, so that their quality of life could be improved. Among the existing domestic literature, the papers are mostly against tumor related depression and anxiety. Tumor related depression and anxiety refers to the depression and anxiety condition emerged after the diagnosis of malignant tumor. Thus, most of the existing literature on psychological status of patients with cancer excluded the patients with depression and anxiety before. This leads to the summary of the related factors of depression and anxiety is not very comprehensive. In this article, we inquire the malignant tumor patients with depression and anxiety both before and after the cancer diagnosis innovatively, in order to bring out a more comprehensive analysis and discussion for clinical treatment reference.
