[Objectives]It was a trial of point press targeted to valuate the effect of movement function, the degree of neural function defect, and the activities of daily living, looking for stroke hemiplegia acute period treatment.[Methods]This study selected60cases of stroke patients with hemiplegia as the research object, according to the time in group using a random number table to randomize patients divided into point press group and control group, with30patients in each group. The patients in Point press group used point press treatment on the basis of ward routine treatment; While the patients in control group only received ward routine treatment, and didn’t practice point press treatment. The period of treatment time was two weeks. Before and after two-week treatment, judging patients in two groups the clinic effect by assessing on movement function with Motor Assessment Scale (MAS), the recovery of neurological functions, and Activities of daily living (ADL) with Barthel index (BI). Besides the above scale, Case general questionnaires were used to collect patient’s general condition. All the datas were analyzed by the SPSS16.0.[Results]1、In terms of movement function, point press group and control group were both significant differences in MAS scores after treatment (P<0.01). It stated both treatments were effective in improving movement function. The difference of two MAS scores before and after treatment in point press group, comparing with the difference of two MAS scores in the corresponding time in control group, had highly significant difference (P<0.01).2、In terms of neural function, point press group and control group were both significant differences in Nerve function defect scores after treatment (P<0.01). It stated both treatments were effective in improving neural function defect. The difference of two Nerve function defect scores before and after treatment in point press group, comparing with the difference of two Nerve function defect scores in the corresponding time in control group, had highly significant difference (P<0.01).3、In terms of Activities of daily living, point press group and control group were both significant differences in BI scores after treatment (P<0.01). It stated both treatments were effective in improving Activities of daily living. The difference of two BI scores before and after treatment in point press group, comparing with the difference of two BI scores in the corresponding time in control group, had significant difference (P<0.05).[Conclus ions]1、60cases Stroke hemiplegic patients were randomly divided into point press group and control group, with30cases in each group. The point press group patients treated point press on the basis of ward routine treatment, the control group only received the ward routine treatment. Duration of treatment was two weeks. Evaluated the point press method to apoplectic hemiplegia patients’ curative effect on motor function, neural function defect score and the activities of daily living. The results showed point press group and control group both were effect ive improving the motor function, the neural funct ion, and the activities of daily living.2、This study was designed to observe cl in ical curat ive effect of point press on apoplectic hemiplegia patient. The results showed:the differences of MAS scores and Nerve function defect scores in point press group were significantly better than the control group, there were highly significant difference (P<0.01); while the BI scores difference of point press group were slightly higher than control group, the difference was obvious(P<0.05). The resul ts showed that stroke patients with hemiplegia treated point press can improve motor function, al leviate nerve function defect, and promote the recovery of activities of daily1iving.
