With the development of society and the improvement of people’s living standards,most of the existing traditional alley in Beijing has been unable to meet people’s daily needs.In recent years,the Beijing Hutong protection and renewal has been more and more attention,but also carried out a number of transformation experiments,which attracted the attention of the design community.The content of this paper is the design of “micro-alley” in Beijing Baita Temple Area.First,through the analysis of the practice and theory of traditional residential buildings in China and the West,the author carefully studied the prototype of Beijing courtyard and the white tower Some micro-alley design,summed up to meet the needs of modern people,“micro alley” design method.Finally,combining the theory and practice with the background of Beijing Baita Temple Area as the base,the survey and selection of the three courtyards in the area to carry out the “micro alley” design,the purpose is to test the “micro alley” concept of relevance and Applicability,but also to enrich the “micro alley” design concept.
