Research On Micro-renewal Of Waterfront Area Based On Geddes Organic City View

With the accelerated development of urbanization,large-scale demolition and reconstruction have occurred in Chinese cities,and a series of environmental problems that followed have caused us to reflect and correct.In view of this,our country proposes a small-scale,gradual micro-renewal and transformation model to achieve urban regeneration.This transformation model is not groundless,and can be traced back to the design idea of "conservative surgery" proposed by Patrick Geddes.Urban micro-renewal is a new trend of urban governance.For cities,the waterfront area has both artificial and natural attributes.It is a characteristic area in the city and has great ecological,social,economic and environmental values.Therefore,the extraction of micro-renewal strategies for the waterfront is essential to revitalize the city.Therefore,this article first takes Patrick Geddes' s organic city view as a clue,combs its formation,development and connotation,and points out that “conservative surgery” is a means of urban self-renewal.Secondly,from the perspective of work analysis,a systematic analysis of our country's old communities,historic districts,old towns and traditional villages is done to find common points in our country's micro-renewal design techniques.Then,the micro-renewal design strategy of the waterfront area is extracted,and the meaning of activating the vitality of waterfront space is extended.Finally,based on the extraction of the micro-renewal design strategy of the waterfront area under the view of Geddes organic city,the micro-renewal design of Youhengdukou is the subject,and the waterfront space experimental design is carried out.Through the above-mentioned research and experiments,it is hoped that we can have a precise control over the micro-renewal of the waterfront in my country,and provide a certain reference and reference for the design method of the micro-renewal of the waterfront,so as to improve the quality of urban space.
