Urban Street Corner Space Landscape Planning And Design From The Perspective Of Fairness And Efficiency

In the context of currently rapid development urbanization in China,the construction of urban public space needed to come up with higher requirements ever.As an important part of urban public space,urban street corner space plays an very important role in improving the overall quality of urban public space.According to New Marxism urban theory,urban street corner space,with its non-exclusive features,maximize inclusiveness,which provides a huge space for the reproduction of urban labor and social relations.Nowadays,with the prevalence of the rule of law and public awareness,equity and efficiency are becoming the most important value judgments that urban planning decisions would based on.In this study,from the perspective of equity and efficiency,taking the urban street corner space as the research object and landscape planning and design as the research method.Through studying the definition of the concept of urban street corner space to clearify the object of discussion.By analysis the formation mechanism and the classification of urban street corner space and its significance to the urban,then examine the urban planning system to study the nature and meaning of urban street corner space.Elaborated the definition the efficiency and equity in other disciplines to dialectically interpret the expression manners in landscape planning and design.On the macro scale,the study focus on analyzing the relationship between the urban street corner space and the urban planning system and control the overall quantity of urban street corner space.On the meso scale,the study focus on analyzing the service radius,coverage,design tips in different areas and the elastic planning strategy.On the micro scale,the study focus on the space face,landscape facilities,landscape perception and the interactive experience.Finally,taking Fuzhou as an example to achieve the purpose of practicing to test the tneory.This study aims to explore the holistic,systematic design of urban street comer space in perspective of equity and efficiency.Developing the urban street comer space landscape planning system in the macro level,meso level and micro-level to offer the design references and reliable security in the process of urban construction,eliminating the current groundlessness situation among the urban management departments,planning departments,developers and designers.Results of the study show that urban street corner space should focus on the equity and efficiency of integral configuration,and should add the urban public space system planning,which includes urban street corner space planning,in the special planning of the overall planning.At the meso level,planning should emphasize on the equity of accessibility and efficiency of supplement,through analysis of the characters of different zone to propose different design guidelines.At the micro level,it is the equity and efficiency of usage.And we should propose the design guidelines from the aspects of spacial interface,landscape facilities,space perception and interactive experience by studying on the characters of the region and population,in order to guarantee the equity and efficiency.
