Abstract/Summary:
Because of decrease of brokerage fee, the profit margin of Futures companies is reducing gradually. Futures companies encountered with the reform of business model, and traditional brokerage business model should be replaced by new business model, which requires the expedition of business domains, the exploit of new business market and the change of team structure. To achieve those goals, large numbers of leadership talent are highly required. Therefore, HT Futures Company, as the nationwide top 10 futures company, initiated its first leadership training; however, it ends in failure. Overall degree of satisfaction is low and it was commented as a mere formality or a waste of time. Thus to realize the corporate strategies, reconstruction of leadership training became one of the top priorities.The thesis takes HT Futures Company’s leadership training for first- line managers as an example and figure out five main issues of Leadership training by depth interviews with participants and senior management. It’s revealed that the selection of participants wasn’t accurate, the training content didn’t meet participants’ real needs, the training methods were monotonous and tedious and training evaluation was rather simple. That is to say the training was neither systematic nor scientific. Based on the analysis of training issues and the application of famous theories on Training Needs Analysis, 360-Degree Feedback Assessment and Action-Learning, etc. to structure the scientific and complete leadership training system, including participants’ selection system, training curriculum system with training needs analysis, establishment of internal trainers and standardization of training methods, training evaluation system and training policies, etc. In addition, the new training system is proved to be effective by comparing the ratings of first“Excellent Leaders”leadership training with the equivalences of second“Excellent Leaders”leadership training.The thesis has its systematic and scientific reference value for primary-level leadership training, which helps companies to structure leadership training system, thereby making the training more effective, developing company’s internal talents and further helping the company to complete the business transit. Also, HT Futures Company is a famous futures company and its leadership training is representative, which provides guidance for other futures companies.
