At present,China has become the biggest country of shipbuilding in the world.Yet because global shipping and shipbuilding market are in downturn,new shipbuildi-ng orders are greatly reduced recently.At the same time,difficulties appear in enterprise capital chain,and the risk of carrying out agreements increases.As the situation that shipbuilding trade is facing is stern,performance management is brought forth higher demand.This article has analysed the condition of performance management in present,existent-ial problems and the cause of the problem in Yanghang Group,at the base of studying perfo-rmance management theory:Aiming at Yanghang Group’s actual circumstances,the main contents and method of optimizing performance management are put forward,by means of th-e method of literature review,the method of comparatively research,Questionnaire survey method,the sta-tistical analysis method.Design performance management organization;Select Yangha-ng Group’s evaluation index,jobrelated duties,power and responsibili ty mechanism and operation process of performance management;Further clarify the staff formatio-n of performance management and training method of developing co mprehensive abil-ity;Build communication mechanisms and channels by extending a nd inheriting the parent culture of the enterprise,then creat enterprise culture that ada ptted to Yangha-ng Group;Set up performance management system and method that fit the enterpris-e to regulate performance management;According to the nature of man agement in Yang-hang Group,make use of scientific and rational development of performa nce managemen-t incentive system,using a variety of methods,in order to enhance incenti ve efficiency.La-st but not least,the work of performance management construction canno t go well withou-t organizational guarantee,Yanghang Group should provide effective g uarantee in the way that the leader attach importance to,establish and perfect the w ork system of t-he performance management,and standardize the improvement of t he relevant func-tional departments of performance management and other aspects,so as to provide e-ffective protection.
