In recent years, the huge farming is considered to be the inevitable trend of the development of the dairy industry. At present, China's dairy production is mainly in two forms, one is the huge farm, the others are small sizes or milk stations. With the rapid growth of the demand for dairy products, a lot of dairy farms start to build huge farms after 2008, especially in the development of "ten thousand of cows". Currently China Dairy already have 52 huge farms and 24 huge farms are in building, cow population reached 450 thousand. Modern farm, Mengniu, Yili and Huishan, they are all working on building big farms. With the rise of large-scale dairy farming and the fast increasing of milk production, the needs of milk cooling equipment is also gradually expanding and improving.As OEM supplier of milk cooling system equipment, P Company launched cooling road tank, instant cooling system and calf feeding system since 2013. These new equipment just comply with the request of development of huge farms and it has good market prospect. However, P company only supply cooling tanks in the past and almost have no experience in project management which raise various problems and lots of customers complains in new cooling system projects and also create negative influence on P company good reputation.This report is based on above background, take P company calf feeding system as a case, using the combination method in project management and project schedule management theory research with the typical case analysis, aim to study the main influence and hinder in P company project schedule management, to find out the root causes and suggest improvement measures from the project organizational structure, project progress control, project effective communication aspects. Try to promote the P Company to optimize the project process, improve the management efficiency of progress, making full use of the resources to ensure the timely completion of the project quality.Due to the special nature of dairy enterprises, such as during the birth peak time of cows, dozens of tons or even hundreds of tons of milk must immediately be pasteurized and cooled by Pasteurizer equipment, so the requirements of the equipment supply is extremely strict. P Company must meet the high quality request of products as well as ensure delivery and installation and commissioning in time after receiving the PO. Hope that through this study to effectively improve the P company project schedule management, ensure P company equipment can be installed and operated in time with high quality. At the time, it has practical significance in improving the quality of raw milk.
