The Study In Scheduling And Coordination Of SJD Project Management

As global economy has been further integrated, international cooperation on construction projects has become common practice. Serving as the leader of a construction project, architecture design industry plays a key role for the success of the project. Because architecture design industry is so important to construction projects, it's hence become more and more important that Chinese architecture design industry is ready to apply an international concept on project management.How to make project action plan, control project process according to the special job nature in architecture design; make sure project go smoothly via effective execution and coordination during architecture design management. These are common issues that Chinese architecture designers have encountered.This article studies the theories and practices in architecture design project management. It begins with the concepts and developments of construction project design management, as well as the difference between Chinese and international design management. Then the article analyzes different methodologies in project kick-off, project design, project scheduling and process control, coordination and communication, following by the case study in difficulty and key point of project scheduling and coordination of SJD international plaza project. Finally, the article closes with the conclusion in architecture design and its shortage, and also gives the directions for current practices on architecture design project management as example for architecture design industry.
