In recent years, the research of EPC project in power plant field has been more and more intensive and popular. Lots of experts focus on and study the tasks including bidding process management, cost control and management, risks analysis and management, project management etc..The engineering management is part of project management, as the flagship of the EPC project of power plant,playing the important role in the whole project, but the relevant research is rather limited. Accomplishing engineering management is the key step of the delicacy management to a power plant EPC project company as well as an effect method of management promoting in enterprise.H Company belongs to HE Corporation. The primary business of H is the EPC project of the international power plant. Under the global economic integration and the overall economic easing situation, to accept the challenge better, H Company has achieved the organization structure reformation and placed the delicacy management on the agenda. Therefore, the existing problems and difficulties in engineering management have to be realized fully and clearly,the corresponding measures have to be established, the research of engineering management has been especially urgent.This paper strives to be on the view of the general contractor, take the EPC project of the international power plant as the study object, link practical application of engineering management of A project in Sudan, summarize the features of engineering management, analyze the weak connections of affecting engineering management, including engineering plan control, process control,quality control and coordination and communication. Proposing the solution of the kinds of problems in engineering management, discussing how to prompt the level of the engineering management, improving the efficiency of the personnel engaging the engineering management by means of grasping the regularity of these key parts, thus the enterprise is able to accomplish the high-efficiency management of the reliable engineering quality, the well-organized engineering progress, the controllable engineering cost, and then achieve the overall management goals in quality, progress and cost aspects of the whole EPC projectof the international power plant, expand the surviving and developing place for the enterprise.
