According to a survey, global healthcare expenditure is expected to reach 1.3 thousand billion in 2018. As the second largest pharmaceutical market in the world, China is expected to spend over 155 billion USD in healthcare. But as many other countries, China is under significant influence from population explosion, trend of aging population as well as the accessibility improvement of the emerging healthcare market. This highlights the needs to leverage the state-of-the-art medical informatics resources and analytical support to accelerate the healthcare reform of China. Additionally, considering the particularities of medical data, it's also needed to implement IT risk management for consulting companies through an integrated medical data consulting service combined with medical data, information consultancy and technology support.Based on the theory PMBOK project risk management, the article is aimed to construct an IT risk management platform for healthcare consulting companies, specifically targeting at the characteristics of high safety and non-uniformity of domestic pharmaceutical consulting data, providing healthcare consulting companies practical and feasible suggestions and solutions to support the risk management in the process of business data application and operation, ensuring safety and quality of corporation data, as far as reduce the losses of companies.From the technology perspective, to design and maintain the healthcare consulting projects through the methodology of project management; to complete the time node of the project on the control by using work break down structure; to build risk models through analytic hierarchy process; to evaluate risk level by calculating weighted risk with quantified approaches, by using the method of expert; to find the key business indicators by using brainstorm to develop performance management tools, through combing qualitative and quantitative method, this paper comprehensively analysis IT risks in healthcare consulting companies, providing the IT risk management system and emergency plan, ensuring the successful implementation of the healthcare consulting projects.
