If companies can break through the bottleneck, they will take a second chance to turn from survival to prosperous.Lean Production from Toyota Motor Corporation is a kind of management method dealing with such severe situation to make company better. Its contribution to Toyoto was known all over world during oil shock. So it is a significant issue about how to develop Chinese small and medium-size manufacturing companies by using Lean Production. And my article will focus on it.The origin and development of Lean Production will be studied firstly. And I will extract the lean concept and philosophy from the tools and methods. Companies should insist the ideas of cost reduction, seizing the opportunity and continuous improvement. After that, I will figure out the problem from the operation of the enterprise, checking the feasibility and limitation of the implement of the Lean Production. Then, the lean tools and methods will be altered and applied selectively according to the characteristic of product and process. So, the Lean Production will adapt the company better. At last, the company and lean project will be much more effective after the assessment and prediction of implement of the comprehensive lean project.
