J construction company, a state-owned enterprise with a history of sixty years, has been developed into a super qualified and integrated one. However, in the new historical period, due to national economic development adjustment, the company has presented many drawbacks and disabilities. Meanwhile, the industry development trends more complex business development and continuous expanding scale. The existing development model of the J Construction Company is no longer sustainable, which emerges bottlenecks. As long as the J construction company cannot find a way to keep up with the pace of development, it is likely to stuck into big troubles, and more likely to be eliminated by the market. Therefore, it‘s extremely urgent for J construction company to adjust its developing strategy and to explore a new development model.Researcher of this dissertation studied J Construction Company‘s current situation, both advantages and disadvantages, problems and other issues among September 2011 and February in order to analyze its possible and suitable strategy and transformation In the future development. Studies suggest that J Construction Company‘s traditional businesses, including high-speed rail station, design, steel structures, housing construction and wall decorations should spread nationwide. J Construction Companyshould also have new business breakthroughs, to develop its capability of constructing rail transit construction, cultivate equipment installation, water conservancy and hydropower and highway. Those blossom and competitive regional companies, such as Northwest, Southwest and Zhejiang regionalcompany should have the priorityto carry out all the businesses above, while other regionalcompanies continue to be the traditional business oriented.In addition, studies in this dissertation suggests that the success of the company's strategic transformation requires a strong strategic will of the legal person, the improvement of the management in four elements of resource, the closeestablishment and cooperation in many aspects of strategic management system. And what‘s more,the company should strengthen the strategic functions of the organization, stress the external environmental monitoring, establish strategic performance evaluation mechanism to regularly conduct strategic assessments, and carry out systematic adjustments between strategic objectives and strategic path.
