By common understanding and control of both facing materials and structural materials, make sure that the image, color and structure of the booth has innovation, personality, change and contrast, Only design like this can satisfy the requirement of the exhibition design basis.This article first elaborated the research purpose, significance, analyzed the development of convention and exhibition, theory research status at China and abroad, and based on the basis of psychology and the basic theory and principle of human body engineering, explored their interaction relationship with the exhibition design, and derived a series of the booth design principles.Then briefly describes the function of aesthetic factors, color and space, several booth design elements, etc. And discusses the theory with some booth design examples. In design, by the use of color temperature, distance and other psychological effect could achieve the aim of coordination and building environment atmosphere, also according to the audience psychology recognition of color and visual, the use of different colors could represent different types of products. In adherence to the exhibition safety regulations when meeting the functional requirements, and combine aesthetics and practical, art and craft, and the principle of unifying the partial and the overall at the same time, fit elements such as space, graphic, color, new technology, to create a booth space atmosphere full of artistic breath, provide contractor an excellent display space for products.Secondly, this paper expounds the necessity of the designer mastering material, only when the designer have enough understanding of the characteristic of material and technology used, then he is able to make full use of material and make a better design. Overall categories of common exhibition decoration materials include wood, stone, metal, glass, plastics, synthetic material, adhesive, metal products, textile, hardware accessories, etc.From how flexibly applying facing material in the design, discussed the artistic style and cultural characteristics the material represents. As well as the the booth design commonly used materials and its usage in symbols of the corporate image and identity.
