| In April 2015, Jiangxi and Hunan Provincial People’s government signed strategic cooperative frame agreement of Opening-up and Cooperation Experimental Zone between Jiangxi and Hunan, which means the cross-regional deep cooperation has been launched officially. As important branches of “Yangtze River Economic Zone”, Jiangxi and Hunan will actively explore Opening-up and Cooperation Experimental Zone co-construction in border areas between Jiangxi and Hunan, and build cross-regional cooperation demonstration zone, opening-up and institutional innovation zone and an important growth pole of regional development. Based on the above background, this paper takes ceramic industry as a case, which is a relatively mature industry, to analyze the key points and development orientation of industrial division and cooperation in Jiang and Hunan. This study is a exploratory research to guide industrial division and cooperation in other areas of pilot zone of “Opening-up and Cooperation Experimental Zone between Jiangxi and Hunan”.Firstly, starting with the status of industry development in pilot zone including Changsha, Zhuzhou and Pingxiang, we analyze the necessity and feasibility of industrial division and cooperation and explore in depth of momentum and prospects of division and cooperation of ceramic industry in pilot zone. Secondly, the production efficiency of 169 ceramic manufacturers of Xiangdong and Liling in the period 2009-2011 is evaluated based on DEA method. The results show that there is a certain disparity in ceramic production efficiency among manufacturers and regions.But the disparity reduces gradually that illustrates regional cooperation motive of ceramic industry decreases. In the future, we shall cultivate leading manufacturers actively, extend industrial division chain and maintain coordinated and innovative development. Finally, some policy suggestions are proposed from the viewpoint of ceramic industry itself and government, then profit sharing mechanism is established. |
