Under the pressure of reform and regulation on the real estate industry, where market competition turns to be more standard and more professional in a larger scale, it happens constantly that most of the real estate companies still pay no attention to the construction and management of their own human resources, which has led to a rather low job satisfaction felt by the employees and high staff mobility in current real estate industry. Actually as the core personnel in the operation of real estate projects, the project manager, who works in the real estate company and is now urgentl y needed in the market, has always become the target of the other companies in the industry. Then it has become the focus of research about how to enhance the management level of the engineer with the establishment of an efficient performance management s ystem to support the further development of the company in a healthy and rapid way.Taking Zhonghong Real Estate Group as an instance, firstly this paper illustrates the theory of performance management, the three common performance management tools, the macro-environment of the real estate and the industry characteristics based on the deep understanding of the current development status of the company. Then according to the human resource management theory, this paper makes an anal ysis on the current status of the personnel structure including the corporate organizational structure, the post distribution and the group characteristics to analyze the current performance management on the project manager in the company through the following methods including the empirical survey and the analytic hierarchy process to point out the problem that matters. Finall y according to the improvement principle for the performance management solution, this paper proposes to establish a systematic, standard and normalized performance management s ystem: transforming from the simple plan management and control to the systematic performance monitoring, from the implementation of the closed-form evaluation to the synchronous strategic performance improvement and from the simple rewards and punishment method to the diversified performance applications.At last, in order to guarantee the implementation effect of the performance improvement solution for the project manager in the company, this paper has put forward the measures from the following aspects including the organizational design, the fundamental management, the institutional improvement and the corporate culture to support the system construction with the combination of such factors as the internal environment of the company and the enterprise culture etc.
