Microwave power amplifier is one of the most basic and most important circuit components in communication system.In recent years,along with the mobile communication technology revolution,especially the rapid development of 5G Technology,people have put forward higher expectations for the bandwidth and efficiency of communication systems.Therefore,the design of broadband high-efficiency power amplifier is becoming the focus of attention.This article focuses on the power amplifier of the harmonic control method.The specific work and innovation are as follows:1.This paper study the principle and structure of continuous inverse class F mode.The current equation of continuous inverse class F mode is expanded,and a new equation of hybrid continuous inverse mode is given.In this paper,a wideband power amplifier with a frequency of 1.8-3.0GHz is designed to verify the feasibility of hybrid continuous inverse mode.The test results show that the drain efficiency of the power amplifier is 65-78%,the saturated output power is 41.1-43.2dBm,and the gain is 10-13.3dB.2.In this paper,the second harmonic component is introduced into the voltage equation of continuous class F mode,and the influence of the second harmonic on the performance of the power amplifier is analyzed.Then the impedance solution space of a novel hybrid continuous mode is given.Based on the theory of the novel hybrid continuous mode,a power amplifier with a drain efficiency of 50.7-69%,saturated output power of 40.2-43.3dBm and a gain of 9.6-12.3dB is designed in the frequency range of 1.25-4.0GHz.3.This paper adopts the dual impedance matching network and the post-matching structure to replace the ?/4 impedance transformation line of traditional Doherty power amplifier.A Doherty power amplifier with a frequency of 1.8-2.6GHz is designed by using the improved structure.The output power of the amplifier is 44.4-45.2dBm,the saturation gain is 9.4-11.1dB,the saturation drain efficiency is 63.5-84%,and the 6dB back-off efficiency is 55.1-61%.4.Based on the basic theory of hybrid continuous mode,a continuous Doherty power amplifier is designed by controlling the output impedance of saturation point and back-off point of Doherty power amplifier.In the range of 1.9-2.9GHz frequency,the Doherty power amplifier has saturated output power of 43.3-45.5dBm,saturated gain of 9.1-11.2dB,saturated drain efficiency of 60.4-70%,and 6dB back-off efficiency of 50.5-61.2%.The broadband high performance power amplifier designed in this paper is fabricated.The measured and simulated indexes are in tolerable range of error,which proves that the theoretical analysis of the wideband and high efficiency class power amplifier proposed in this paper is correct,and the design scheme is practical.Compared with the current power amplifier published in the journal,the power amplifier designed in this paper has excellent performance.
