With the change of wireless mobile communication technology,people have higher expectations on the utilization efficiency of spectrum resources and power consumption of communication systems.As the most important subsystem of wireless communication system,the performance of power amplifier directly affects the quality of the whole system.Therefore,broadband high-efficiency power amplifier has important practical value,its research is the trend of the times,and more and more scholars are interested in it.In this paper,the high efficiency power amplifier of harmonic control class is studied in depth.The idea of hybrid continuity and harmonic control are combined to make the power amplifier have the characteristics of high efficiency and broadband at the same time.The main research contents and innovations are summarized as follows:1.On the basis of class F power amplifier,this paper extends the expression of drain voltage and current,presents a series of new hybrid continuous class F mode of operation,and then analyses the wide band and high efficiency characteristics of the series mode power amplifier in detail.Finally,according to this theory,a high efficiency power amplifier with 1-2 GHz band is designed and manufactured.The test results show that the drain efficiency is 54.3%-73.5%,the output power can reach 40.4-42.8 dBm,and the gain is all greater than 10 dB.2.This paper analyses and improves the expression of drain current of inverse Ftype power amplifier,and puts forward a series of new hybrid continuous inverse F-type operation modes.Then it theoretically analyses the broadband and high efficiency characteristics of this series of mode power amplifiers.Then it puts forward the design theory of power amplifier which combines hybrid continuous F-type and hybrid continuous inverse F-type operation modes.Based on this theory,a high efficiency power amplifier with frequency band of 1-3.5 GHz is designed and manufactured.The test results show that the drain efficiency ranges from 50.6% to 63.4%,the output power is 40.1-41.9 dBm,and the gain is 10-15.2 dB.3.In this paper,dual impedance matching network and post-matching network are used to expand the bandwidth of Doherty power amplifier,and make carrier power amplifier work in mixed continuous F class.Finally,an improved broadband Doherty power amplifier is designed and fabricated based on this theory.The operating frequency band of the Doherty power amplifier is 3.0-3.5 GHz.The test results show that the saturated output power is 44-45 dBm,the saturated drain efficiency is 54.6-65.9%,and the drain efficiency is 46.7-55.1% at the 6dB backoff power,and the gain is between 9.8-13.3 dB.Under the guidance of the theory,the broadband power amplifiers designed in this paper have good performance indicators,which verifies that the hybrid continuous harmonic control power amplifier proposed in this paper has high efficiency and broadband characteristics,and the design of broadband high efficiency power amplifier based on this theory is feasible.
